Breed: Chihuahua Gender: Female Age: 3 mos. Birthday: 4/2010 (est) Weight: Small (less than 30 pounds) Milo ID: 14258 Current Location: Foster Care |
| Adorable, tiny little black Chihuahua puppy. Found dumped in the night drop box at the Berkeley shelter... she deserves better this time!
Foster bio: "Bird Littlewing is the sweetest little girl. She is an ideal pet for
anyone looking for a tiny companion. I think she would be a great
first dog, or an addition to existing pets. She has been living with
three other dogs, and gets along with them wonderfully. The first day
she was here, she stuck to me like glue, and preferred to be held, rather than
to walk around with the other dogs. I indulged her needs, and by the
next day she had warmed up, and become confident enough to romp with
the other dogs. She has grown to love playing with other dogs, but she
is ultimately the perfect lap dog. She loves to curl up in your lap, or
sleep across your chest. I feel that she would be fine with small
children, but it is VERY important for them to be aware of how delicate she
is. She is also great in her crate. She will nap in there, and when I'm
getting ready to leave the house, she goes right inside." |

Breed: Flat Coat Retriever - Labrador Retriever Mix Gender: Female Age: 3 yrs. 4 mo. Birthday: 3/2007 (est) Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds) Milo ID: 14248 |
| Radar is a terrific dog - sweet, playful, easy going in many ways - but she is a toy guarder - and she LOVES her toys!!! Because of this she is likely best as an only dog - she is fine with people and her toys but she doesn't like to share with other dogs. We also feel because of this that she is not appropriate for a home with small children - though she likes kids.
Radar is good in and out of the house - is content to hang pout but also has energy for long hikes and romps! |
Name: ROCKET

Breed: Border Collie Gender: Male Age: 2 yrs. Birthday: 7/2008 (est) Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds) Milo ID: 14249 Current Location: Foster Care |
| Fabulous, handsome fellow - eager, intense, active, social AFFECTIONATE and playful! He runs like the wind and enjoys a game of chase - walks well on leash - super attentive and eager to please, knows some commands, plays ball or runs around with a toy hoping for a game of chase or tug-o-war. Sweet boy!
Rocket is a full bred herding breed dog and has slight dominant characteristics - but is also good-natured and sweet with other dogs, not likely to roll over or submit if challenged by another big male though. He will need plenty of activity and off-leash adventures, as well as herding breed savvy adopters. Kids over 8 years should be fine - though an adult home or family with teens who include their dog in many activities and daily life would be the best case scenario for Rocket!
Rocket is smart and responsive to training wanting to please he is eager to do the right thing and to have a person - he is well mannered though he does jump up for hugs...seems to be house-traiined and used to being around people, in and outdoors, in the car, jumps right into a crate in back of a truck - listens - sharp like his ears!!! GREAT DOG. |
