| FOSTER NOTES: (See bottom for latest update) "GREAT DOG!! Bottom line, Pebbles is a wonderful dog, and would make a great companion. She would make the perfect family dog. She and Honey have become best friends! (the only dog Honey's ever really liked in the past was Harper). She is playful, social, and confident, she does not get pushed around by Honey (adopted Milo Beagle mix). She is also curious and inquisitive, always checking things out. Leash walking needs a bit more work, but because she is smart, she is pretty trainable. The only behavior I noticed is that Pebbles will always softly whimper a bit when you leave the room (even if you're just going to the bathroom). Last night, she spent the night in the crate in a different room, and she whimpered for about 10 minutes, and then settled down and slept soundly through the night. We haven't taken her to a dog park yet, so we are not sure how she will react to other dogs. She is definitely a dog that can take care of herself though, despite her smallish size.
Pebbles is a really easy dog to take care of. She's definitely got some pup energy left in her but it is endearing and can be managed easily. She loves playing with her chew toys, and occasionally she'll find one of my socks and try to chew on it. She cries when we leave the house but eventually settles down. She is housetrained now which is exciting and she knows to sit before getting fed and going through doors. She is pretty social and friendly around other dogs we see around the neighborhood and wants to say hi to everyone. She gets excited at birds, but what dog doesn't? She has an interesting snorting thing that she does in the mornings but other than that, all around great dog! Playful and fun and cuddly. Anyone who wants to meet Pebbles should email me at christineslee1@gmail.com. |
